Start the player
Press Play Now in the game player and give it a few seconds to start. Click inside the game frame before pressing a key so the browser sends input to the game instead of scrolling the page.
Begin in the normal view. If the title screen appears, the game file has loaded. If the frame remains blank, follow the loading fixes before trying several mirrors.
Confirm the three controls
The original Kongregate listing gives a small control set: hold Right Arrow to run, use Left Arrow to stop, and press Up Arrow to jump. Down Arrow and Space are not listed as original controls.
Test Right first. Once Shaggy moves, try Left and Up separately so you know the game has keyboard focus. The controls guide has a complete table and timing notes.
Use a three-level run plan
The game has three levels, but the same three keys remain in use. Treat each new level as a fresh timing check instead of assuming the next obstacle has the same spacing.
| Stage | Immediate goal | Recovery check |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Confirm the frame has focus and complete a controlled first run | Test Right, Left, and Up again if the page scrolls |
| Level 2 | Look ahead before holding Right through a new section | Stop with Left when the jump window is unclear |
| Level 3 | Keep the same input rhythm and avoid rushed late jumps | Restart once, then compare the full walkthrough |
The walkthrough is a visual reference, not a replacement for testing focus in your own browser. Watch where the runner changes pace, return to the game, and retry one section at a time.
Read the obstacle before moving
Do not hold Right through every situation. Look ahead, stop when a jump window is not ready, and start running again when the path gives you enough room.
Jumping too early can make Shaggy land before an obstacle. Jumping too late lets the skeleton close the distance. The same three keys are used through all three levels.
Use fullscreen or a new tab
Enter fullscreen only after the controls work in the normal player. A larger image makes obstacle spacing easier to judge, but it is better to solve focus or loading problems before expanding the frame.
Use the standalone game page when the embedded frame is blocked or feels cramped. The where to play guide lists the in-page player and three clearly labelled outside options.
Finish, restart, and recover
A failed attempt can be restarted quickly. Keep the same control test—Right, Left, Up—after a reload so you do not confuse a focus problem with a gameplay mistake.
If the game stops reacting, exit fullscreen, click the frame again, and test Right. If the page scrolls instead, return to the loading guide and restore keyboard focus.
